Delete your account

1 Which app this is about

Gradlog is a food-safety logbook for food businesses, published by Falka Software (Merlijn de Groot). This page covers the Gradlog app in the App Store and on Google Play. The app interface is in Dutch, so the menu items below are quoted as the app spells them.

2 Deleting in the app

Instellingen → Account → Account verwijderen (Settings → Account → Delete account). Step by step:

1. Open Gradlog and sign in as the owner.
2. Go to Instellingen (Settings) and open the Account block.
3. Tap ‘Account verwijderen’ (Delete account).
4. Type the word VERWIJDEREN and confirm.

Only the account owner can do this. A staff member cannot.

3 Deleting without the app

If you no longer have the app, send an email to info@falka.nl from the address you sign in with, with ‘Delete account’ as the subject. You do not need to reinstall the app for this.

We confirm the request by email and handle it within thirty days. The waiting period of fourteen days below applies to a request by email as well.

4 What gets deleted

• the organisation and the owner's account
• every location with its settings and its location code
• every staff member, their names and their hashed PINs
• every record, including the ones that were voided
• every photo
• every dossier and every export ZIP file
• every paired device and its access tokens
• the subscription events the store sent us about this account

Nothing of your logbook is left behind. Whatever you already downloaded or exported stays with you.

5 The fourteen days

A request does not take effect immediately. There is a waiting period of fourteen days, so that a request made by mistake or by someone else can be undone.

• If you sign in again as the owner within those fourteen days, the request lapses and your account stays.
• After fourteen days we delete everything permanently. Recovery is then impossible.

6 Take your data first

In the app, under Instellingen → Account → ‘Gegevens exporteren’ (Export data), you produce one ZIP file with a CSV per record type, every dossier and every photo. We send the download link by email. It keeps working until fourteen days after you requested the export, even if you request deletion of your account after that. Export your data before you request deletion. After the request, the only way to make a new export is to sign in again, and signing in cancels the request. After deletion, we cannot recover anything.

7 Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. You do that in the store you bought it in:

• App Store: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
• Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
